BREATH OF THE CHASM - CHAPTER 3 By @aisyle Rated: NFE (Not for everyone) I've heard that dreams are sometimes true. I'm not so sure about it, but I need to be sure now. The dream I dreamed was of my father, Kass. "Kheel!" He called when he saw me, I could see a bit of his surroundings. He was in some sort of wooden cage and was tied to a pole so he couldn't fly. "Papa!" I shouted, flying over to him, "Where are you?" Kass's eyes were panicked, "Don't find me! If you find me, the Rito will fall!" I was beginning to panic now as well, "Tell me where you are!" His breathing was getting faster, "Don't come here! They'll kill you too!" My eyes lit up, "They'll kill you?" "What?" Kass shook his head, "Um... definitely not, return to the Rito right now, my fledgling. If you find me, they'll catch you." "Who's they?!" I yelled, my heart was beating, "Where are you?!" Kass looked me in the eye, "The Yiga, rogue Shekiahs that worship the Demon King." Suddenly a shadow flickered over Kass and I woke. I shot up and looked around. Tulin was still next to me, asleep. "Wake up, Tulin!" I shouted at him, shaking him awake. Tulin yawned and muttered something about tomatoes, which made me angry. I slapped him across the beak. "Ahh!" Tulin shouted and reached for his bow, which was not on his back, "Why did you hit me, Kheel?!" "We need to go. I know where my father is," I told him. "How do you know?" He asked. "He came to me in my dreams and warned me not to come after him." "You listened to a dream?" Tulin asked, raising his eyebrow, "Dreams are simply your imagination, nothing in reality." I grabbed his wing and stared into his eyes, "I know that this was real." Tulin rolled his eyes, "I don't think so, Kheel. It must be because you're still mourning your family's death. We should start at the Gerudo and slowly make our way to the Goron, make some friends!" "What?!" I shrieked, "That'll take forever!" But who was I to argue with one of the best Rito warriors? So we traveled for a long time, we reached the Gerudo desert and still traveled, to their city. We reached the Gerudo canyon where we found a stable. We've never seen a stable other than the old Rito Stable that left long ago, so we were both excited. Tulin raced up to the counter, "Hello sir!" he exclaimed. The man at the counter leaned over a bit so he could see us. He looked shocked. "Ritos?!" He shook his head in disbelief, "Wow, you two have traveled far. Anyway, what can I help you with?" "We would like to rent a horse, please," I told him. "You?" He looked us up and down again, "I would think you're too small for a horse. I would recommend a Malanya bed, you two look like you need sleep." "What's a Malanya bed?" Tulin asked, incredibly confused. "It's a bed that super comfortable and you get vision from the horse god, Malanya, it only costs 50 rupees!" "I think we're ok," I say quickly before Tulin can get scammed, "We'll just go with two regular beds." I handed over my last few rupees. "Right this way," he gestured to two empty beds. I climbed on the bed and instantly felt uncomfortable. I've never slept in a bed before, only ever in my hammock or on the ground. How could anyone sleep like this?!
