BREATH OF THE CHASM - CHAPTER 1 By @aisyle Rated: NFE (Not for everyone) Hyrule. A world in peace That's what I thought when i left my house, not when I came back. The instant I left my home the ground began shaking, I called for my sisters. "Cree! Genli! Kotts!" The ground shook again and I fell over, "Notts!" Genli peeked her head out, "Why is the ground shaking, Kheel?!" she shrieked. Just as she said it, a large chunk of rock fell from the ground, "Watch out!" I scream, and Genli manages to roll out of our hut just in time to see it be crushed by the rock. Crack crack... Suddenly the whole hut falls from the village and falls all the way into the lake. "NO!" I scream, I spread my wings and dove down to our old home, the rock had smashed the entire thing, "Cree! Kotts! Notts!" I cry. I search the wreck and find their bodies, lifeless. I keep searching for my mother, Amali and finally found her, right under the rock. I hear a sob behind me and turn. Genli had also flown down and saw. "Momma!" I cry, tears flowing down my beak, "Momma!" Genli runs over and cradles her head, "Please don't leave us..." Amali and our siblings died that day, thanks to that giant rock. Harth, Tulin and Teba fly down after we have dragged our family ashore in tears. "Oh my," Teba gasps. Tulin takes in a sharp breath and Harth only looks away in horror. "They're dead!" I cried, sobbing uncontrollably. Genli was crying next to me, her wings covering her face. Tulin rushed over to our sides and gave us a hug. "They're all dead," I whispered, not believing what I was saying. No. Not all my family was dead. My father was still alive! Genli seemed to remember that too and she looked up from her sobbing, "Our father!" she exclaimed, "He's still alive." Tulin blinked, "Who's your father again?" I managed a smile, "The greatest musician of all of Hyrule." "Kass," Genli finished, her gaze blank and unreadable, "The one who taught us everything." Teba stepped in, "Kass hasn't been seen in the Rito Region for over 7 years! Do you even know what he looks like?" I looked away, "Not really," I gazed at the horizon, remembering when I was still in my egg, listening to the endless concertina music, "But I will find him." And with that I spread my wings and took off, leaving Rito Village forever.
