BREATH OF THE CHASM - CHAPTER 5 By @aisyle Rated: NFE (Not for everyone) My head is hurting, the world is spinning. Every sound echoes in my brain, amplifying its sound before finally leaving. I remember being dropped to the ground, helpless as they knock out and kidnap Tulin. The feeling of helplessness is the worst feeling of all, but I won’t be helpless for long. After a few minutes, I can finally feel my hands, I begin to stand but my wrist burns whenever i try to get up. I yelped in agony as I tried. “Help me,” I groaned. The man at the stable checks for the Yigas, making sure they are gone before racing to my side. He props me up against the wall. “Are you ok, youngling?” He asked. “I need to get to Tulin,” I replied mindlessly trying to walk out of the stable. “Woah woah woah there,” he puts a hand on my shoulder; “You’re in no shape to even walk!” He checked my wrist, “Broken.” I wince and push him away with my other hand, “Go away,” I told him, “I need to find ny friend!” “Young lady get back here!” He called. I grabbed Tulin’ bow and swung it over my shoulder and grabbed my Feathered Eagle. The man chased after me, “It’s too dangerous!” He called. I ran out of the stable, and towards the barn. I pushed the man in front of it aside, “Let me in!” He put his hands up in questioning defeat. “Thank you,” I said even though I don’t mean it. I entered the barn and the first thing I see is an elegant pure orange horse. The only thing; it’s giant. Like 3 times my size. I stared in awe at it for a moment, before I hear a man calling me. I quickly grab a saddle and throw it on the horse. It neighs at me and before I know it I have officially geared up my first horse! I couldn’t really climb onto it, it was too big so I flew onto it, which I really regretted. My wing began to sting and burn. I remembered how Hylian travelers used to ride their horses, “Gid you up?” I tried, shaking the reigns. The horse reared up, making me scream and dashed out of the barn. I steered it in the direction the Yiga went, and before long found them. They had made a small tent behind a rock. I heard their laughter and the sound of clattering glasses. I crouched and began to creep up on their camp. Once it’s in sight I see Tulin. While the Yigas are around the fire, making toasts and eating mighty bananas, Tulin is blindfolded and tied upside down a little farther away from the fire. I creeped up towards him. Just then; the Yigas had finished eating. I knew this because one of them shouted, “Let’s see the prisoner!” I quickly dash away and watch as they bring Tulin towards them. I clenched my fist in anger as they push him around. I remember hearing him call for me. Without thinking I get back on my horse and draw Tulin’s bow. My wing can’t keep it in anymore, it makes another crack sound and I have to use all my power to stop me from tearing up, yet a single tear escapes. My wing hurts so much, so I go Tulin. I use my beak to pull back the string and aimed, before I shot, I remember how Tulin used attach things to his arrow, so I attach this strange looking giant black flower. When I released, it sailed towards their camp and boom, exploded. I hear the Yiga’s screaming and Tulin as well. I covered my mouth in shock and sprinted over. The pole Tulin was tied to had fallen over and as the Yigas are still recovering, I quickly cut the string. “Come on, Tulin!” Tulin stares at me, “Kheel?!” I don’t even respond because I know the Yigas will notice me soon. I grab his arm and drag him towards the horse, tossing him on top. Then I fly on top again, wincing as my wings begins to burn. “Yah!” I shout, kicking the horse’s flank, back towards the stable. Tulin turns towards the camp and shoots another one for the flowers, it explodes. “Holy Hylia!” I shout, “What are those things?!” I can’t see Tulin but I can feel his smile, “Bombflowers!” I chuckled as we passed the stable. Tulin frowned, “Why aren’t we stopping?!” I bit my tongue, “Well um…” Tulin glared at me, “What did you do?!” “I- um… saved your life that’s what!” “You stole the horse didn’t you?” He accused me. “Well, n- ok fine, I did.” We rode for a while, until we were near the Kara Kara Bazaar. “Water,” Tulin cried, he fell off the horse and began to crawl towards the lake. I rode the horse over a bit and tied it to a tree. Tulin was so embarrassing and I pretended I didn’t know him until we got past the guards. The instant I saw the lake thought I cannon balled in. Tulin simply collapsed at the edge of it. My wing was really beginning to hurt now and suddenly my head felt woozy. I walked out of the pool and made my way to the building. The woman in the front saw me and gasped. I must have been pretty beaten up because she instantly rushed towards me and pushed me onto a bed. "You must have had a long day," she said to me, spooning a soup into my mouth. Almost instantly I feel stronger, but more tired. I see Tulin walk in and the woman helps him as well.
