-----WARNING----- The following contains flashing lights and mildly disturbing images, if you have a sensitivity to the following it is recommended that you leave /g -----My Epic Art Process----- So I entered this competition for fun since I did in fact want to make a starboy meme at the time I entered. This probably would've been released earlier in June or even in late May but the reason it took so long was because I had to redo the whole concept due to an issue (I won't explain the issue or the original concept so please don't ask) so then later in June when I had realized I had to change the concept to prevent making the issue worse I decided to just replace the art. Then I started to dislike how the code was so I fixed some parts until I completely replaced all the code. This took over a month including procrastination, schoolwork, replacement, and etc. The variables, as usual, were the most frustrating part of this entire thing, they kept breaking and because the code is so messy I had to be careful not to mess anything up with the events caused by variables so I wouldn't have to go on a whole search for the variable that causes that event. I redesigned Misery (And renamed her) I GENUINELY DID NOT EXPECT HER REDESIGN TO BE SO DRASTIC LOL but yeah- and I feel like her old name could trigger some people so I also renamed her since this is basically a whole other character at this point- /hj The characters in the background (Joy, Violence, and Greed) all harass Misery in a way, Joy doesn't actually try to make her feel bad, but Violence and Greed do. If you think the orange hand in one of the scenes is Rowan then that's incorrect, it's somebody else and they have a more red-orange color palette to them so if it doesn't show too well in the scene then I apologize. The arm seems like it's in it's own world lol, I tried fixing it but then left it alone since it was still on beat nonetheless. My memes tend to be loops, but I'm proud of this one since its not ENTIRELY a loop since at the second half the design (slightly) changes, also, this was my first time doing animation using vector lol (I converted the animations to bitmap to prevent lag). Overall, this was hard to make due to all the changes in everything I had to deal with, but it was worth it in the end. To begin, Joy, Violence, and Greed in the background. Joy likes Misery romantically but Misery thinks its wrong (Which technically it is since she died at age 35 and Joy age 10) and while although they may be 16 in this afterlife they live in she still considers it bad and a really imbecilic idea. Violence just wants to harm her for being so stubborn and acting as if she were in a higher class than the other emotions (Because she's the oldest one) as opposed to Greed who merely does it as a way of showing Violence they still share common interests years after their separation as little kids. Now on forward to the red-orange hand. The blue hand is obviously Misery since that's her main color throughout the meme, but the red-orange hand is someone who played a part in her life, his name being Bryant. Bryant would give her advice on what to do to find some sort of control in her life, but in the end of it all it was never truly genuine advice since he'd cut her off at points and try to make things go quick so he could receive the special "candy" she paid her to get for him. Now for the two people at the end of the first scene. The person on the left is Misery's father, and on the right her mother. They both end up passing away before Misery which is why they have X's over their eyes at the very end of the scene. And I think that's about it lol.
