Spottedfern stared at Fionn in confusion for a long moment, then looked away. "What do y-you mean, forever?" She asked Glitter. Ebony made some more strange signals and Glitter responded. "You'll be staying with us indefinitely. We don't know who you are, what your intentions are, where you are going. In other words...you're hostages." Spottedfern stifled a squeak of surprise. "But...we mean no harm! We just wish to stay here for the night. Then let us leave in peace." Immediately, the fur on all the cats were bristling and the dim light shone off unsheathed claws. "We cannot let you leave. You could be a definite danger to our society." Glitter said of her own accord. Ebony shot her a warning look and she shut up. Ebony made a couple short signals with her front paws and tail, and Glitter said. "Now sleep. We will be waiting for you to awaken in the morning." The cats gradually stalked off to their own places. Spottedfern looked at Troutfreckle, who met her gaze. "What are we going to do?" She asked with a shaky voice. Troutfreckle shook his head despairingly at her, but there was a message in his gaze that she hurried to decipher. She realized, and then huddled back into the hay.
