--Hidden Secrets-- //Renn\\ (srry had to add chpt. title x3) {Caution: Chapter is long!!} As we all look to Eliza, I'm quite frightened; frankly, this whole adventure I thought was going smooth. That is- until the holy gods lessened their power granted to me. My hands are trembling as I help my brother up and I look up to the sky whispering, "Please.... gods.. don't abandon us now.". I mean, sure. There's multiple things I can do, I can use the god's powers or use my own strength, and funny thing.. is I usually use both. The gods direct my hands when I'm wrong and usually grant me some healing of the Holy Light.... but, it's less so now. I couldn't even help Edwin with his injuries, that's how worse it's gotten and what if he gets sick? Raven glares at Ridge as he tries to steal her bow from her hands by flirting, which obviously failed. Eliza sits fiddling with her crown, eyes darting nervously around at the group with Thomas beside her giving her comfort. I stand and look to Eliza "It's close to sundown Eliza, would you like to set up camp for tonight?" Usually there was a clear decision on what to do; sundown set up camp, sunrise wake up and start trekking again but since we're so close to the castle I let the decision up to Eliza and the rest of the crew. Of course the majority with sense opted for getting our rest before we continued to the castle which was maybe a valley away. Ridge this time seemed to be the only one ready to get to the castle, but probably to steal some gold.. Thomas stayed silent as we decided to set up camp for tonight. We all set off to our tents without a word and I saw Ridge's lantern still on- slightly concerning me what he was doing up still at a time like this but I shrugged it off. Inside my brain was scolding me for my thoughts 'You can't think bad of him! He's a rouge, he's gonna stay up." I wandered into my tent with Edwin already sound asleep. I took off the shiny light armor I wore and laid down under my woven blanket, nodding off to sleep I heard multiple bushes rustle, carrying me into a sweet sleep as the crickets sang and the wood became lively with critters. - - Near Sunrise - - I was snatched awake as I heard voices barking commands in and around our camp. My heart was thudding as a sack was thrown over my head and I was thrown over a large, heavily armored shoulder. The whole trip to wherever we were going was a long, and dull journey. And somewhere along the way, the men set us down and bound our wrists and legs to keep from escaping. That's when my mind flickered to Ridge in his tent last night 'Maybe he could escape his ties and help us.' but I quickly shut the thought down a prayed to the holy gods that they lend me the power needed as we go who knows where. Another hour seemed to have pass when I hear a large gate open, a big wooden one by the sound of it. My eyes widen and I feel my heart pound faster as we are set down and walked inside, still bound at the wrists. Everything seemed to be made of stone as my feet were bare and cold by now and though not sure of where we were I had lingering suspicions we were in the King's Castle. Small windows of light were the only sources I could see by the sack around my head and I could only make out certain places by the small holes by the woven bag. I slightly shuddered as I heard dogs barking. Deep hollow howls and barks. From the sound- I could slightly hear Edwin whispering something to himself and Raven's voice trembling as she attempted to comfort Edwin, who seemed to be closest to her. Not paying attention to where I was going, I bumped into the guard by my side and noticed how small and lean the guard seemed to be, and his armor seemed to be different than the others. Not steel as the others but more of a chain-mail vest possibly. "Keep moving." a voice behind me boomed as I stopped slightly confused at why we were being forced to walk long narrow corridors. We began to near a quite loud room, which seemed to be filled with laughter and music, I'm sure I could have heard Amora gasp at the sound of music; her talent specializing in the beauty of her stringed instrument. The noise got louder as we neared closer to the door and every voice died down, every laugh and piece of music stopped as we stepped through the door. We were walked a few more paces before we were forced on our knees and our bags were removed. I looked around in shock at the large number of people and was taken back when I saw the King in his Throne, his crown as gold as ever and his face stern. That was when something caught my attention- a thin form slinking behind the King, it was then that I realized it was Ridge. My eyes widened and I felt anger warm my face but I managed to stay quiet, Ridge wasn't bound nor kneeling and in fact, seemed to be quite satisfied as he counted gold coins over and over behind the King’s chair and I slightly hoped not a single other soul saw what I did. ..
