~Chapter 8~ "You're gonna jinx it, Edwin." I say, still slightly drowsy from just being woken up. Right when I was about to eat my sandwich, I hear a loud screeching sound, drop my sandwich, and "accidentally" grab Eliza's arm. I look up at her for a millisecond and quickly let go while slightly blushing and coughing very loudly. Everyone stares at me and starts laughing. Amora speaks up, "It was just a hawk, Thomas. I thought you were braver than that." "I am!" I say with a voice crack, then I immediately clear my throat, "I just... I'm still tired, alright?" Everyone eventually shrugs it off and starts packing up their things. - 10 to 15-minute time lapse - "Alright. everyone, ready to go?" Eliza asks as she adjusts her tiara. Amora jumps on her back, "Yep! Let's get to the castle already!" Eliza touches her right ear, which used to have an earring on it, "Has anyone seen my right earring? I literally just had it on me." I look around at everyone and see Ridge pass by me... with Eliza's earring in his hand. "Ridge! Give that back!" He starts speedwalking, then running. "NEVER!" He says, looking behind. "NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR GAMES, RIDGE!" I start running after him, almost tripping on some rocks. After what seems like forever of running after Ridge, I eventually catch up with him. "Ridge?" I say, catching my breath. He's stopped at a stone wall. I look up at it.
