« start srp » it seemed like the days were shortening as truffle lived in the capitol, preparing for what could be most likely his death. this parade seemed to finalize it all, that everything was approaching, time flying past him angrily and whipping his fluffy fur into him. truthfully, truffle had no idea what the situation of the parade could bring or offer, and that made the feeling of standing upon that chariot fur perfect groomed and outfit carefully planned, every crease in his clothes just right, and his now even more golden eyes gleaming with the light of a thousand stars. he needed to play a part, didn’t he? the green curtain hadn’t even unraveled yet, but he knew what he had to do. he had to smiler wider than ever, and wave like he’s never waved before. he had to be a charmer, winking and blowing kisses to all the potentially rich capitol cats that resided below. show of his height, show off how much pure potential he carried. he needed to prove he could win. this is what was flying and drifting through his mind as the curtains that shielded him form the crowd suddenly flew open in a grand way, and truffle was met with a beautiful view of the sky. he blinked, approaching the edge of his ´ chariot ´, a thing he now realized to be more of a hot air balloon. or… a lantern. a huge, slightly glowing green lantern. / at least I’ve dressed appropriately. / he bought with an amused smirk, finally managing to focus his glowing eyes on the crowd of felines cheering and yelling below. there were so many of them. perfect. truffle instantly began the show, flashing a perfect, white-toothed grin down at the cats, winking at the she’s and toms alike, waving and laughing, soaking up this feeling, this strange, strange feeling of pure attention. the tall, regal-looking feline sat up even higher, waving and puffing out his chest, making himself appear larger and more threatening-looking than he already was. he needed to hold a feeling of haughtiness. confidence. truffle needed to embody a career. yes, that was exactly what he would do. he would play the part, and then everyone would see his worth. his potential. his strength. truffle gave another laugh at this plan, eyes locking on more specific cats below, and if he caught their eyes, he would wink or smile wider. anything of the sorts. truffle was a charmer, a master of the stage. for now, at least. it would wear off later, and the tall, cream and brown tom was near certain this parade would be a memory in his mind that would slowly and surely fade into complete and utter nothingness. however worrying that thought was, truffle had no time to pay attention to such matters. he needed to focus. all of a sudden, the tomcat remembered something. he remembered what was to be the star of the show. he had been planning it for ages, and now it was time. truffle looked around for the basket. he knew he brought it. THERE. there it was. truffle grabbed it, and with an excited grin, began to throw hundreds of beautiful, pearl-white orchids. they rained down towards the crowd of fancy-looking felines, and he threw as many at a time as he could. the cats below grabbed at the flowers that rained down all around them, some tucking it behind their ears and other simply just holding it. truffle cleared his throat. “ cats of the capitol !! “ he exclaimed as loud as he could, trying to catch as much attention possible. “ my name is truffle tremain of district seven!!! “ he called yet again, continuing to rain flowers down, eventually dumping the entire basket with a bright, flashy grin. “ I love you all, and I certainly look forward to you getting to watch me in the games. wish me luck. “ he yelled down yet again, voice perfectly tailored to carry across the air. the lanterns flew around him, some with little orchid flowers or petals stuck to them, a result of multiple things in the air all at once. how curious. this mix seemed to ever represent a connection. well, that was what truffle hoped. « end srp » art - @Telsemm10 ( me ) character design - @GlimmeringOcean outfit design - @Telsemm10 ( me ) song - meteor shower - cavetown
