Nintendo has finally done it. On April 8th, they shut down the online services for the Wii U and 3DS. This made people sad and angry, especially the Splatoon fans. Since there's not much I can do about it, I might as well talk about my tale of when I first heard of the game. On Christmas 2014, ten years ago, I got a Wii U that came with Mario Kart 8. Then in 2015 (I'm not sure what month, but maybe May to August), we got another Wii U. This one came with Splatoon. A new game. I wasn't crazy about it, but later, I changed my mind, and loved it. After something happened to the disc, we re-ordered the game. On that same day, one of my favorite inklings, Meggy from SMG4, was born. Then we got Splatoon 2 on the Switch in 2017, then Splatoon 3 in 2022-2023. And now, I've just heard the news that the Wii U and 3DS' online services have officially shut down. It was fun reliving the original memories... but I guess it's time to say goodbye. Thank you, Splatoon 1. And so long.
