Midori Automotive - 2024 Kawai ——————— The Kawai shared the same wheelbase as the Kazoku, but the Kawai was only available in a 5 door configuration. The hatchback, which as a result of engineering re-evaluations, was extremely lightweight. The car came with light and fluffy suspension that made the Kawai quite comfortable to drive, and improved fuel economy rocketed the Kawai to one of the most desirable hatchbacks to own. The Kawai was able to achieve an astounding 1897 KG, the first Midori vehicle that was able to achieve under 2000 KG in weight. The car came with a modified version of the KSTi6, codenamed the KTi4, which was essentially the same as the Kazoku's engine, minus 2 cylinders and a supercharger. Though the engine lost a considerable amount of power, opposite to the Kazoku, the weight compensated heavily for this. The Kawai's engine only reached 690 hp even with a turbo, but because the car was so lightweight, it was able to achieve similar performance, being limited to going 190 MPH, but ~250 MPH being possible under slight modifications and correct circumstances. The Kawai came with a 5 speed manual or a 5 speed auto. The Kawai was reminiscent of the usual lightweight sports cars Midori was producing at the time, however it provided the same amount of fun in an economic hatchback.
