HEYY GUYS WHAT UPPPPP okay! so. yes i slept in today (no school for me today yall lets go) so that means i have energy. so i will use a LOT OF CAPS to show my crazy energy levels. Yes, I'm annoying and cringey. Deal with it. Or leave, if you want. But if you leave you won't be able to hear all the deep scientific and philosophical thoughts I have at 11 pm. OKIE DOKE LETS GET STARTED HEY GUYS WLCM TO MY ChANNEL REMEMBER TO LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE im kidding okay i actually should start and stop #procrastinating *zooms in on instructions box so i dont hafta see the thumb and yell at myself internally* okay now that thats done guess i really have to do this now sigh yk when you have a great idea and you rly wanna do it but as soon as you starts its like UHGGHUHUUHGUGU yeah thats me right about now "HEY IRIS are you done with your stupid commentary cause i wanna hear ur random thoughts" Why of course. Here we go. ... *Ctrl+W* (have to watch some yt and overthink some more) If i dont start writing im prolly never gonna get through this. SO this is for the few people who actually took the time to read that sh1t instead of leaving once my mental commentary got too boring (yk who you are). HERE GOES NOTHING FIRST RANDOM THOUGHT Iris's theory of eVoLuTiOnNnN ooh fancy #IrisDarwin sorry. okay. So, obviously I'm not smart enough to think up a whole new theory that no one's ever thought of before. Someone (a lot smarter than yours truly) has prolly came up with the general idea of what I'm gonna say, but since I've never heard about this before i thought of it at 11 pm, chances are it's wrong. Still! this is a kids coding platform where I'm posting stuff I think about when I'm in bed. So who tf cares? So. It's an extremely common question, and if you're like me, you wonder about it all the time. Are we alone in the universe? And why wouldn't we be? As far as we know, the universe is, well, huge! There's plenty of space for the conditions to be right for other life. But the whole 'conditions' thing really confuses me. Earth happens to be the perfect distance away from the sun. It also happens to have a moon, the exact size and distance needed for life. It has water, the right climate, the right resources. WHAT? It just so /happens/ that Earth has EVERY SINGLE ONE of these checklist conditions to be perfect for life? YES, I knowwww the universe is absolutely giant. Makes sense that since the denominator of this probability equation is so large, that somewhere, there's a chance that conditions are just so precise? But if the Earth was closer or farther to the sun, if the moon was larger or smaller, if Earth had a little bit more or less gravity, Nothing Would Be The Same. And here I go with the butterfly effect again. Those seemingly small differences would have such a large impact on humanity. On life. So how is it just this perfect? Almost as long as human existence, people have created a sort of supreme force. A God. Why? Because having an all-powerful source is the easiest way to imagine the fact that the world was practically molded for life. Believing that a supernatural power makes more sense than the crazy probability and chance involved with life. So here is the theory all that buildup was for. Was the Earth made for us? For life? Or has life changed for the Earth? Over the course of of billions of years, have we- not humans, but all living things- adapted to fit earth? Duh. That’s how evolution works! Life has changed to fit the climates and cOnDiTiOnS (yes, that word again), obviously! (continued in creds)

Description

But I’m talking about something more than this type of evolution. One of the reasons scientists are in doubt of extraterrestrial life is the whole water thing. So far, we haven’t found a planet with water, and living things need water. So, there’s no aliens. But /do/ living things need water? Or have we simply adapted to use that? Does all life really need it to survive? Do we need this exact amount of gravity? The moon? The sun exactly that distance away? Or have we assumed that these factors are essential to life because it’s how Earth is, and that’s the only life we know about? Because humans have a thing for asking questions. Being curious. And we have a thing for wanting answers. We want to know about history, and physics, and science, and math, and everything else. We want to know why. We want to know, well, what if? But there’s so much unknown. Things we don’t know, and probably never will. And yet we still want to know. So what do we do? We take what we do know, and we apply it to other situations. We assume. And our assumptions aren’t always right. Just because life on Earth needs these things, doesn’t necessarily mean /all/ life does. We had these conditions, and for billions of years we’ve been changing to fit them. So it’s possible, maybe even probable, that somewhere out there, other life has been changing and adapting to fit its own ecosystem, with different factors and contributions and conditions. Who knows? Maybe someday, we will. This is the first time I’m not like adding or changing anything after I finish so y’all get to see my far-from-perfect unfiltered thoughts I HATE THE THUMB SO SO MUCH STOP ARGH we're gonna blame my bad art on the fact that when pics upload on scratch, it automatically goes to bitmap SO YEAH THATS TOTALLY WHY ITS BAD OKAY NOT MY ART SKILLS UGH iT's NoT mY fAuLt I pRoMiSe AaAaaAAaAaAAh EWW THE BUTTERFLY ISNT CENTERED wait nothing is centered UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
