Good drawings will be fun to look at (and make it easier to make out the details of the design) but it is not required. It doesn't have to be super simple, but as long as there aren't a million accessories or details on the redesign I'll like it! (Super complicated designs are hard to draw and animate consistently which is kind of what a sona is for) You may make another version of your redesign that is more complicated, as long as there is a simplified version!
