The cat leading them looked just like an ordinary cat and promised Phantom that they could go hunt as much as they want. So Phantom agreed, they followed the strange cat into the forest where a spirit entered them. The spirit was one with the power of seeing everything and made Phantom into what they are now with all the eyes. It transformed their fur from white to black. They ran as fast as the could from the forest, ultimately ending up in a giant pine forest where they lived alone.
