hahahah i finished!!!! That was fast :D BACKSTORY!!! The moon glinted off the inky ocean waters as a lone dragonet broke the surface. She was smaller than her SeaWing siblings, with only very faint glowing scales and membranes between her talons and wings darker than the night sky above. Her name was Nightmist, and from the moment she hatched, she didn't seem to fit in. While the other dragonets basked in the tropical sun, she preferred the cool shadows. And her scales didn't shine the brilliant hues of SeaWings - instead, they were myriad shades of dark blue and purple, as dark and mysterious as the ocean depths. Nightmist was constantly taunted by dragons she knew for being different. "Freak! Halfbreed!" they would jeer. But she paid them no mind, more interested in exploring the reefs and tide pools after dark; when most of the dragons were asleep. That's when she felt most alive, with only the bioluminescent sea creatures for company. One moonless night, when the waves were restless and thin, cold clouds hung overhead, Nightmist happened upon a strange sight among the cliffs that overlooked the ocean, the water was inky black in the darkness from the water beside the cliffs, she was tossed and pulled under water, to frightened to breathe, at that moment she felt as if she wished she could've been just a regular SeaWing, not some halfbreed who couldn't swim well because of her horrible, horrible unknown father. Panting and sore she pulled herself up the slippery cold rocks, the waves swept her past the boulders that took the brunt of the waves and settled in where a small tidepool just a bit lower than the cliffs resigned. The sound of the roaring ocean was faint now, and she was too stunned to realize the quietness of it all. Suddenly wingbeats broke the darkness, Nightmist jumped and spun around, searching for the dragon who had made that sound. Then a darker shadow, ink black silhouette of a dragon soared down from the now starlit sky, he lit one of the tidepools not far from her, and though he was silent but she could hear the faint drip of a tear that dropped into the water below. I'll finished this story later but it basically rounds up most of the backstory :)
i tried to stay with the colors except in Nightmist's reference the wings were underwater and all that so, hope u like it! :D (by the end I was just really lazy on the bubbles lol)
