You start at one point per click and no points per second. Upgrade your click with your points by clicking on the upgrade. When you can buy an upgrade, the upgrade will brighten. The number under the upgrade is its cost. To get to more upgrades, use the buttons at the bottom of the upgrade menu. You can turn off and on the music, pops when you click, and the earth expanding when you click, by pressing the settings button in the top left corner (when you turn off the music, you will have to wait for the loop to finish before it turns off).
