PAW Patrol is a Canadian television series created by the same person who created the CBBC series "Bob the Builder", Keith Chapman, and produced by Spin Master Entertainment, with animation provided by Guru Studio and Nickelodeon Animation Studio in the US. The show aired on TVOKids in Canada and Nick Jr. in the United States of America. The series focuses on a young boy named Ryder who leads a crew of pups that call themselves the PAW Patrol. They work together on missions to protect the shoreside community of Adventure Bay. Each pup has a specific set of skills based on emergency services professions, like a firefighter, a police officer, an aviation pilot, etc. They all reside in doghouses that transform into customized vehicles, or "pupmobiles", for their missions. They are also equipped with special hi-tech backpacks called "pup packs" that contain tools relating to the pups' jobs. A theatrical feature film adaptation, titled PAW Patrol: The Movie, was released on August 20, 2021, followed by a sequel, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, on October 13, 2023. In addition, Rubble & Crew, a spin-off series focusing on Rubble, one of the PAW Patrol pups, premiered in February 2023.
