Why the therian symbol (theta-delta) doesn't involve paw prints: Not all animals have paws, or the same type of paw prints. For example, rabbits have no paw pads, and birds, fish, amphibians, reptiles, aquatic animals, insects, elephants, and many other animals have no paw pads, and therians can have any animal as their/as a theriotype. Plus, even if an animals do have them, they don't all have the same type of paw prints, for example, bears have 5 toes, domestic cats have very round toe beans and wolves have very long and larger ones, foxes have their middle 2 toe beans on their front paws pretty far away from their main paw pad, and lynx have different shaped main paw pads from most other animals. Plus, we can't add lots of different prints because that'd be hard to easily draw and put on things, and some animals (insects, fish, aquatic animals, etc.) don't have prints at all. The theta in the theta delta means therian, and the delta means change, so there's a reason for why is looks like that. Hope this made sense, I speedran this lol
