In the palace gardens around evening hours, Starlight and Chancellor were watching Oliver and Imposter Shadow together. Starlight was quietly in a bush, keeping a close eye on them. Chancellor was also there next to Starlight. He convinced her to join him in spying on his parents. "I'm gonna attempt to take some pictures of them." Chancellor whispered. "Chancellor! Not yet!" Starlight whispered back. Of course, Chancellor ignored Starlight and quietly snapped some pictures of his parents. His mischievous smile appears after he snuck away with Starlight with the pictures. The two hope that neither Oliver nor Imposter Shadow find out about how they were being stalked during their romantic nighttime date. A couple of weeks later, Chancellor and Starlight were at the gardens again, only in the west part of it. The two were talking while walking down the cobblestone path. Chancellor then stopped Starlight and went in front of her. "Starlight, you know how old we are right?" He asked, gently taking her hands and holding them. Starlight nodded at him but stayed silent so she could understand what he was meaning by all of this. "Well, I've known you for 14 years of my life. That's a long time, huh? I think so." "Where is this even going, Chancellor? Are you trying to ask me something that's personal to you?" Starlight questioned, wanting to already be on-point with the whole meaning of this conversation. Chancellor nodded at her and took a deep breath. "Listen to me Starlight, you know that day whenever I first confessed to you that I liked you? It's what I want to talk about now." Starlight then got the thought of a potential heartbreak, which made her feel some disappointment. However, she hasn't jumped to that conclusion yet as she still stood and listened to Chancellor. "So...I needed to tell you something, Starlight. I know you usually see me watching my parents and having to go by their example of how a relationship works. But I feel like I should maybe take a step out of that for a minute. We are both royals too so this wouldn't have to matter a little bit." Then, Chancellor respectfully got down on one knee, anxiously smiling and hoping that in his mind, Starlight would get what was going on. She did, and she had a bright red blush covering her face. She looked very intrigued and surprised that Chancellor was doing this in a time like this. "Starlight, please. Can you be my wife, my own royal Queen that I would proudly serve and adore?" From that, Chancellor held out a golden ring that had glimmering diamond pieces around it. Starlight couldn't believe that he had the expenses at getting a ring that's as pretty as the one she's seeing right now. Starlight couldn't hold it in anymore and just felt her heart explode with overflowing love. "Yes, Chancellor! I would be happy to be your wife!" She then hugged him tightly, her face filled with a bright, joyful look and her blush was adorable for her. Chancellor thought so. He then placed the ring onto her ring finger and shared a soft yet deep kiss to her. It only lasted a couple of seconds since they felt a presence. They noticed that Oliver and Imposter Shadow were watching them from a distant tree. Oliver had his phone out, seeming to be recording them. Chancellor instantly made a gap from Starlight as she was stunned from the kiss. Stunned enough to not notice what was happening. Though, Oliver put his phone away and went up to the two. "You two were so adorable, I had to record you guys, okay?" He laughed. Chancellor grumbled and blushed more in embarrassment. "Whatever, Mom. I swear if you tell anyone-" "Don't act hateful to your mother, Chancellor. I expected that you wouldn't act like that." Imposter Shadow responded, pulling Oliver close to him and allowing him to be cuddly with him. Obviously, Oliver leaned his head onto his shoulder and got close and affectionate with Imposter Shadow. It made Chancellor a bit weary since it wasn't like he had seen his parents be this sweet with each other a million times a day. Either way, he felt grateful that Starlight and him were now an engaged royal couple and would have to have a ceremonial wedding in a few months. To Starlight, the idea of the wedding seemed like a dream she had before. At least she could feel how her love is bound to Chancellor and it felt blissful. For now, the kingdom would finally be filled with so much safety and love that it's almost impossible to describe. ~THE END~
