He took his only son to the orphanage and that's where he stayed. Quebec knew nothing of his family, while the other kids knew something about them. Quebec grew mentally insane, especially when he found out his father was a murderer. Feeling betrayed, he killed other orphans (Including Serena) thinking he was "helping" them from finding out they were "betrayed" that he was.
