Instructions

Screenshots courtesy of Shipbucket.com Throughout the Second World War, Japan built multiple classes of corvettes to function as multi-purpose escort ships. These small vessels could function as Minesweepers, Subchasers, and AA Defense ships. The later classes were mass-produced to partially compensate for massive losses sustained by Japan's destroyer command early in the war and therefore had simplified design, armament, and propulsion. The IJN called them "Kaiboukan," literally meaning "Coast Defense Vessel," though they were rather more.
