After almost an hour, Nova X and Sonic have been arguing. Starlight and Chancellor haven't been saying anything since Nova X silenced them. Tails and Knuckles sometimes backed Sonic up but it only ended up into nothing useful for the argument. "Heh, you sure are smart, Ice Queen. But just why would you give up on heroes anyway whenever you knew that you would eventually leave your virtual home?" Sonic asked, sounding like he's getting tired of the argument. Nova X smiled, not even out of energy yet. "Dear, the day I left my digital realm was the day my hope for heroes was LONG gone. So, what point are you trying to make me see?" Sonic huffed, crossing his arms and trying to come up with a good reason for Nova X. However, she interrupted his thinking. "Hah! You can't even speak! How entertaining for me to see how a hero just falls back down." Nova X exclaimed in glee, finding Sonic's speechlessness quite enjoyable. Knuckles finally got up from sitting and angrily went up to Nova X's throne, seeing her how much she's getting a kick out of all of this. "Listen here, Nova! You have no right to even continue on with this spiral of calamities and disasters! Blaming it on someone else is not a good option either! So you are gonna have to talk now or we'll have to find out about what else you intend on doing in the future!" Nova X, who was silently looking at Knuckles deep into his eyes. She could see how his eyes were burning with fury. Silence was suddenly inside of the room, and she felt something...odd within her heart. The feeling made her lay back into her throne and she looked like she realized something. She looked...amazed somehow. Though, it quickly went to some emotional look in her eyes. "Go. You all had your time here." Nova X spoke, her voice slightly breaking as she snapped her fingers and opened the doors to let Sonic and his friends out. Starlight, watching all of this, felt her hope spark. She saw something real inside of her mother's eyes while she began to rethink everything. Starlight nudged Chancellor and left beside him to give Nova X some time to think. After hours, everyone was inside of the main lounge area, being quiet as they waited. Nova X softly opened the door, looking a bit shy at everyone. Starlight saw her, being shocked to see her be so shy like this. This was a completely different behavior. But she trusted that it was worth the long wait. Nova X approached Sonic, and he noticed her immediately and went to assist her. He felt a tinge of awkwardness about Nova X since he noticed that her facial expression looked a lot different from that grim and emotionless look. He hesitantly spoke to her. "Nova, we were friends in the past. I always liked how friendly you were and how you wanted to assist everyone. I-I mean, just look at you now. You're practically taller than me and you're so powerful for a female like yourself. And, I wish we could be like the friends we were before. Can you please tell me if you feel like we could be friends?" Sonic questioned Nova X, gently holding his hand to her to get her acceptance. Nova X looked at Sonic's hand with some deep, hesitant eyes. She looked nervous, as if she never really did this before. Ever in her life, it appeared. "Sonic, I'm just sorry for having to make you and your friends go through the insanity I was going through. My grudge was just an evil sin for me to hold onto. I still wished you saved me all those years ago, but I think I'm happy that you are here now, trying to save me from all of the rage and darkness I brought into myself and everyone else...just thank you for everything." Nova X smiled emotionally, taking Sonic's hand and holding onto it. Sonic grinned at her in acceptance. "Seriously, with all of my heart, I want to make you understand all of the normal stuff people feel in their lives. You really deserve those normal feelings, Nova." "Oh no, no. I don't think so. Evilness may have given me pleasure every once in a while, but just living life in a good way, doing whatever you want, just makes everything better. The truth may hurt, but at least time has its existence so you can heal. And, wisdom is a rare thing that people have so I'll keep it." Nova X responded, feeling her heart swell up for once. She even got comfortable with being so friendly towards Sonic and she believes that she can be like this towards anyone else. Nova X finally feels like herself. And she knew that there could be no way that anyone could make her mind go crazy again since Sonic will be there for her whenever danger comes near her and her friends and family.
