I hope you are having a great day, if you want to learn more about the reason for easter, then read below: There was a man named Jesus ~ I'm sure you've heard about him, he preached the gospel, performed miracles, and taught everybody about the Kingdom on Earth. One day, he and his 12 disciples went to celebrate the Passover [Which is a celebration the Jews often celebrated for Moses ] But instead of the Passover, this day was called the "Last Supper" because it was Jesus's last Supper. A man named 'Judas" was going to betray Jesus that day. Judas left the dinner, but Jesus already knew that he was going to betray him, instead of stopping him, he took the bread and broke it into pieces saying: " Take and eat; this is my body. " and then took a cup and said "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant" [ Matthew 26:26-28 ] After the supper, Jesus was taken away by the guards and arrested. They beat him and hurt him badly, and he was put on a cross, that day Jesus died. But through death, he paid for all of the sins in the world [ You can reference this day by Good Friday ]. They buried Jesus in a cave and closed it with a large stone. Everybody thought it was over for Jesus, but then something amazing happened 3 days later. Some relatives of Jesus came to visit the tomb, but the guards guarding the tomb were gone, and the large stone was already rolled open. Jesus had come back to life! He was resurrected and soon went back home. Now if we want to be with God in heaven, all we have to do is accept Jesus into our hearts, and believe that he died on the cross for all of us.
