[ DATA ENTRY : CRYSTALLO GLOMERORUM ] - The Crystallo Glomerorum, better known as the crystal fungus, is a special crystal that forms using the minerals and nutrients from whatever surface it grows from. It spreads as like a fungi, hence the name. Every time a crystal breaks, it releases spores, those spores entering the body of any sufficient surface it interacts with, like soil or any organism, plant or animal. These spores are more like miniature pieces of the crystal that are small enough to be carried around easily by air. Crystal buds are fragile, but become tough when they mature. It heats up the surface underneath the crystal formation, essentially liquefying the area, and then overtime it cools down again, creating the basis for the crystal which grows overtime. These crystals require a lot of material to properly form, so they form best in living organisms. Unfortunately, this kills the organism from the inside out unless neutralized. Under the right circumstances, the crystal fungi can grow into any crystal. Their color relies completely on the materials they utilize, meaning they can really be any color, but since they mostly rely on living organisms, their color tends to be a blood red. Special variants of the crystal fungi however, may have a specific color. Most creatures will not recognize that they have crystal fungus until it is too late, and it has developed too far to be removed without damaging something vital. The crystals not only grow on the outside, but also the inside. The only sign that you'll ever get of having the fungus is a burning sensation in your body, but that's all you'll get. There will be a point where the crystals have overgrown most of the organs of a creature if not treated. There are some cases where the crystal fungi will stop growing however. One of the more bizarre cases being from a creature named Crystal, which comes from the instance. Crystal is a merp (Which is a creature we will give a data entry on later) that has had the crystals grow in such a way that it doesn't affect the merp's vitals or anything. It's also a specific variant of the crystal fungi, and its dormant state makes it easy for research.
