This is Nex. They were a transgender nonbinary 16-year-old student in California, who was KILLED in a high school bathroom for how they were dressed. This is what the world is coming to. People are dying for how they are dressed and because they are queer. There is no reason for someone to DIE because you don't like how they dress or identify. I recently read about this person and I think it's interesting that I'm seeing this on Scratch only now. It's terrible what people have to go through just because they're being themselves. I hate that people think it's ok to do something this heinous just because they have a different world-view or opinion on something that really shouldn't (saying this as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community) matter as much as some people make it (speaking of homophobes). This is not about New, but about everyone's safety. If you think you might be in danger, that something like this might happen to you, /please/ tell a trusted adult or call someone of authority to let them know whats going on. Don't be afraid to say or stand up for what you think is right and just, but please stay safe. This is not a rare occurrence, and depending on what country you are in, this could be a justifiable act. Please stay safe.
