the Macrodon or Macrodons are all robotic in nature, but they still feel like that they are living beings withs souls. to learn that they are simply not truly a living organism has made them go insane, the fake flesh falls of their body to reveal the metal. this is just lore I made this doesn't have to be canon but only roboicecream can decide that. :D
