Ok this is more of an all-au lore post because as you know, amalgamates don't just exist in EQ:IR, they exist everywhere in the multiverse, but all the members of the species I will be using as examples will be characters from EQ:IR. This species is inspired by the Undertale amalgamate species and ZumoZumo's Sub-dead species. The amalgamates are basically glitchy hybrids of angels and demons and zombies, which is where the name comes from bec they're an amalgamation of some glitchy thing, angels, demons, and zombies, which seems kinda cringe at first if you ask me. Their blood is technically darker than normal hooman blood, and some of them have wings, varying from butterfly to denomic. There are three types of amalgamates: Type A amalgamates are your average amalgamate, mostly found in the Midwinter Gloom. They mainly have glitchy substances on their bodies, which is slowly eating them up little by little. Some amalgamates have their minds corrosed by the glitchy substance, in which is possibly the reason why they are competitive, I guess? There is one examplary Type A Amalgamate, it being a male sylveon. Type A Amalgamates spawn in the Midwinter Gloom by random, specifically after they like "die" and stuff. Anyways, Types B & C Amalgamates are more like two amalgamate subspecies. Type B Amalgamates exist in the physical boundaries of where the main stories of AUs take place, and no one even notices it. They were mainly bitten by Type A amalgamates, and some of them work against the main protagonists of these AUs whilst others are just still themselves before they got bitten by an amalgamate. The others I am referring to are the 20% of the Type B Amalgamate Subspecies whose minds are unaffected from the glitchy substance. DreamEevee is a Type B Amalgamate, specifically in the 20% due to what we see to DreamEevee throughout her lore. Type C Amalgamates are the ones existing in the Forgotten Realm, which is basically hollow knight black egg temple I guess. 99% of this subspecies do not have their minds corrupted by the glitchy substance, but recently the 1% has gotten the residents of the Eeveelution Kingdoms worried, because there's still a chance where a member of this species would be like the 80% of Type B Amalgamates... This percentage has mysteriously grown ten times than it was before, it being from 0.1% to 1%, but it's probably because the Type C amalgamates are evolving, but not like the way a Pokemon does, I mean like logically. I mean, they've like developed tentacles and stuff. There is one exemplary Type C Amalgamate that's an esbreon fusion and uses Umbreon's shape. I will probably continue the lore in another post, but I think for now this is all you'll need to know so I'm gonna mark the amalgamate species open? so pretty much fanmade amalgamates are encouraged, and they can take the form of any other species (Eevee, etc.)
