Up north though, there was a General with a loyal army, he was not rich, but whatever he had, he gave to his soldiers, he helped the poor, many expected him to join the Liberation Movement. Yet he told his men, and the city he was garrisoned in, that the Liberation Movement is still a rebellion, and they have order, instead of heading straight for Madrid, he went around, took the south, the home of the Liberation Movement, and then headed for Madrid. In Madrid, he stopped the movement, some members fled, most were captured or killed. His name was General Alejandro Fernández II. He was held as a hero by the people, there was no royal family now though, a power vacuum was left.
