After weeks of having Oliver's memory sweep, Starlight decided to get Sundown Shadow next. She does have many questions about him. Why did he get Conjure Spikes and if they did happen again, how would they happen? How did he become so real after escaping his digital file? What did he do to his creator in return for having him in chains of his file? And most importantly, what was his deal in trying to go to the ways of God when God himself is a vampire's strongest enemy? She had so many questions about him, she might lose count if she asked him these questions. Starlight had no choices to make here, she had to help him somehow since she knew that there was something he was hiding. Hiding from everybody, every eye, every soul on the face of the Earth. "Father?" Starlight touched Sundown Shadow on his shoulder, indicating that she needed him. "Hm? Yes, Starlight? Is there anything you need from me?" Sundown Shadow responded, putting down his white cloak hood and mouth mask. Starlight nodded at him, taking him to a room that had old fashioned TV in there. Immediately, Sundown Shadow felt a massive suspicion that Starlight was going to make him see a few things. Though, he allowed her to do what she needed to do, knowing that it was her choice. Starlight then got a box that had multiple tape recordings that were from Sundown Shadow's time. From seeing the tapes, he started to get some edge building on him. Though, he didn't know how Starlight found tapes. However she did, Sundown Shadow is going to have to see what shows up on the old TV screen. As the tape played, it was a recording of his creator, Dr. Eggman, programming all of the appropriate codes and details he wanted for Sundown Shadow. Of course, Sundown Shadow could remember that at the time, he was made to be a deadly weapon to destroy Sonic for good. It wasn't until around midnight on tape time, the recording was starting to blackout and the audio would cut out on some times. But after a few minutes, there were screams to be heard, seeming to belong to Dr. Eggman. Sundown Shadow was feeling heavy concern for Starlight, wondering how she was taking in all of this. He was starting to worry about how she would react if she saw the darkest part. Though, Starlight was remaining her ground, understanding each and every part that happened. He started to internally pray in his mind that Starlight wouldn't flip out. Starlight noticed this, seeing how he was taking in all of this. She continued the tape recording. Soon enough, the recording became normal again. But...what was off was that Dr. Eggman was dead still. Not moving at all. He looked mangled, his arms missing as well. Sundown Shadow covered up his mouth with his mouth mask, not wanting to get criticized deeply because of the horrifying sight that was there before them on the screen. Afterwards, the recording cut to the hallway of Eggman's base, seeing Sundown Shadow glitching on the recording due to having the success to escape the digital world he was created in. His sclera was a very bright, vermillion color and had a white glow in his irises. Starlight realized why Sundown Shadow had Conjure Spikes in the beginning days of his time in the real world. It was because it was how he was when he first came to be. It was just his change in form when he gets so enraged...sort of how a Dark Form works with Sonic and the rest of his friends when they feel a strong emotion that they normally don't feel. Starlight even got the theory that maybe Sundown Shadow didn't want to be aggressively evil, but he had to get the programming of the evil traits in him because he was a virtual body at first but he soon learned a way to get out of that virtuality and he carried that goal out in a way that was super unexpected. The tape stopped once it showed that Sundown Shadow left the base in a weak, stumbling manner. The recording made Sundown Shadow unable to think. He couldn't understand how he even managed to be at this point to have his own daughter next to him. Or even survive half of a century being away from his cruel wife due to him being a vampire, a creature that hunts for blood. Starlight smiled lightly at Sundown Shadow, hugging him since she now understood everything about him now. He hugged her back, but he needed to figure out how God has made him be at this happy point when he committed a horrible sin at the very start of his real existence. Either way, he was grateful for His graces that his digital body adapted in the real world but he would still be a bit more mindless the more he kept on remembering what the tape had in store.
About the beginning, vampires truly DESPISE God, crosses, holy water, etc. (Folklore says so) which is one way how you can repel a vampire if you see one in real life. So, Sundown Shadow is clearly a different vampire lol. Again, more deep matters so warnings for the light-hearted :3
