Inspired by The Computing Machinery Field: Early computer art from Computers and Automation, the world´s first computer magazine published by Edmund C. Berkeley from 1950. It was originally called Roster of Organizations in the Field of Automatic Computing Machinery, and later The Computing Machinery Field. Computers and Automation initiated the first Computer Art Contest in 1963.
