Heres a poem a wrote for TWARC: Far away and long ago, Before humans were here, The sky was lonely, on its own. So high no one was near. he waited hoping silently To find someone to love, But no one ever spoke to him As he wallowed up above. Then one day in despair, A prayer echoed from the sky It called “father, help me please!” And then he started to cry. The droplets of rain fell to the earth The flood lasted day and night. The canyon soon began to fill And an ocean glistened in the light. The song of her roaring waves Reached up to the sky As she sang to him, “dear lover, there’s no reason to cry” the wind’s song whistled back at her sending songs of joy and peace the music continues to this day a ballad of love between sky and seas.
the daily challenge prompt I wrote this for was, "write a poem based on something in nature."
