Name: Thymus Vulgarius Nickname: Thymus Age: 3000-ish cat years, mental age 17 Backstory: You know how sometimes villains set orphanages on fire? Well, Thymus is the one and only orphan who set her very own orphanage on fire. Thymus has always been a bit of an arsonist. When she was little, she loved dissecting plants like yewberries and hemlock leaves so she could get chemicals for her projects. Unfortunately, this meant she never got adopted because everyone thought she was a bit of a witch. Her fellow orphans also tended to stay away from her, saying that she was “dangerous” or whatnot. In fact, she actually loved being the misfit and the outcast. Thymus also loved to learn. She read every single book in the orphanage, and then she wrote 10 more so she could stay sufficiently engaged. One fateful day, the royal family came by for a parade. Thymus mocked the royal family most of the time, until the royal school walked by on their float that resembled a book, and they were reading a poem by Shakespeare. Thymus was so enchanted by the performance that she decided that she was done with the orphanage. Thymus gathered milkweed, yewberries, hemlock, and shaken-up soda to create a giant explosion. Thankfully, everyone escaped with their lives. Thymus then snuck into the royal school. She was respected for a while, and made lots of friends, one of which was the princess. Thymus and the princess, Noctis, quickly fell in love. However, word spread and soon it was discovered that Thymus wasn’t as rich as she claimed. She got kicked out of the school and banished to the Forest of Beasts. Noctis ran off to live with Thymus. Today, they still dwell there. The kingdom calls them beasts, but they don’t mind. Raising their three daughters, they are happy together.
