Amy Carmichael was an Irish missionary who founded an orphanage and mission in Dohnavur, India. She served in India for over 50 years and wrote 35 books about her work.
We cannot expect to understand everything. We serve the God who created the universe. The God who made more stars than we can count. He doesn't ask that we understand everything, He asks that we have faith and obey Him. Having questions does not make you a bad Christian, everyone has questions, even people who have been a Christian for decades. Another missionary, Elisabeth Elliot once said, "Faith does not eliminate questions, but faith knows where to take them." Questions are good. They can help you grow as you read your Bible for answers and pray that God will help you understand. While we may never fully understand some things, we can always trust that God is in control and that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him. (See Romans 8:28) #Plum_06
