His mother d!3d when he was young, leaving him in the care of his father, who wanted too much from him. One day, during a visit to the army, he met Mars, who would, unknowingly, become the love of his life. Mars was a young, accomplished, and extremely skilled fighter, who rose through the ranks quickly. Unlike Jupiter, Mars knew that Jupiter would have his heart from day one. Mars grew up in a house with almost no love. The only one of his family members who cared about him was his sister, Eris. When the star-crossed lovers(I'm so sorry-) first met, Jupiter gave Mars his scarlet war scarf, and Mars gave him his bronze olive branch lucky charm, both of which they still wear to this day. The two kept meeting up with each other, which was easy, until the fateful day when they came out to their families. --- Mars's mother and father were furious with him, especially for falling in love with the prince of all people, and slashed him across the face, leaving a lasting scar. At least he had Eris to comfort and care for him; Jupiter had no one after his father struck his eye. He almost broke that night, but he had to stay strong. For Mars. Anything to see him again... There was a revolt. People kept saying that King Zeus had become too corrupt. The king was k!lled in the night, and Jupiter was crowned the new king two mornings later... except.... The Crown of the Sky did not float gracefully above his head, nor did it unlock his powers of lightning... This was greatly controversial, and the kingdom began to split. Those who wanted Jupiter out plotted against him. Mars would stick with Jupiter until the very end, and even issued a decree saying that anyone caught plotting would be 3xc3cut3d. That is, until Eris was accused. Jupiter HAD been growing more and more paranoid. Almost every cat who was even hinted at being treasonous would face d3@th. Eris pleaded her innocence, but even Mars couldn't do anything. It was he himself who had set the law, after all. Mars was horrified. Jupiter should've KNOWN that she would never plot against them! He tired to argue, but Jupiter had basically ignored him. SO Mars took a drastic measure. He left Grecodae, and headed out to find and join the Typhon Clan. He was alone. --- When Mars first joined the Typhon Clan, he was an outcast, but just like in the Grecodae Army, he swiftly proved himself, and rose through the ranks until he became General of the Typhon Armies, and declared war on the Grecodae Kingdom, beckoning anyone dissatisfied with Jupiter to join him. Meanwhile, Jupiter was not having a good time. His only source of comfort was gone, so he had to resort to other methods(oh no not the seafood/starving cycle-) long with dealing with the kingdom. Imagine the heartbreak and betrayal he felt when his love joined the other side and declared war on him... --- Honestly this is where the actual plot starts- A summary because it won't fit in this project if I don't condense it into one sentence: A bunch of fighting, badly written diplomatic arguments, Mars getting a maybe girlfriend, trauma, and sneakiness later, the ending happens. Keep reading to read the end. (Oh and also the Galilean Moons spawn in around this time too. For funny sidecomic reasons.) ~~~ Jupiter had finally done it. After many long years, he had won the war, and Mars was captured. But was it really worth it? So many destroyed relationships... Years of love, just thrown away... And all for power? --- Mars was stuck in the guillotine, wood surrounding the whole of his neck and the menacing, gleaming blade hanging above him. The same one that had claimed the life of his beloved sister, Eris... He would love to see the look on Jupiter's face as the blade came down. He wondered if the king's face would finally show some emotion... perhaps... sorrow? Only if he still loved him... --- Ther was silence hanging in the air like the blade of the guillotine, finally pierced by Mars. "So, are you gonna k!ll me?" Silence. "Ha, you're a coward, Jupiter. Why haven't you shown your face to me all these years? Are you afraid you're gonna cry? 'Cause I know you remembered the past~ you always do, and always cried, after all... But that was just to me, after all. You wouldn't dare show a single emotion to anyone else, let alone tears." More silence. Jupiter walked up to Mars, and raised a paw, as if ready to strike. The hanging silence. The tension in the air. Mars was still smiling. Jupiter still emotionless. Frozen. And then he took the Crown of the Sky off his head, and placed it on Mars. The Crown shone brilliantly, and floated high into the sky, before finally landing, hovering serenely above Mars's head. "Behold, your new king!" Jupiter bellowed. (It's 12:49 A.M. and I need sleep.)
