I've never seen something more heinous and disgusting before. I found some tomcats talking and flinging something around. It took me a second to realize not only was it alive, but it wasn't prey. It was a kitten! I scared the toms off by pretending to be a zombie, and they just threw the kitten at me. It's heartless. I calmed her down and assured her I was still alive. I asked her what her name was, and she said she didn't know what that was. I was speechless. Who raises a kitten so wrong that they don't know simple words? I told her my name and explained that's what others call me. She looked like she got it when she started to say they called her a bunch of horrible names, so that's all she knew. "No, that's not how a name works. How about I give you one?" I asked. She nodded. "How about Sage?" I said. She said, "Sure!" Super enthusiastically. I think that's when it set in I wasn't going to hurt her. So now her name is Sage and I asked Tucker about adopting her, and Tucker was through the roof. Nibu's excited about having a sister and Lake's translating for him since Sage can't read. Birch thinks she's just adorable and Shansu didn't like the idea of having another mouth to feed at first, but now she's accepted Sage. After all, who couldn't fall for her little face? I couldn't, that's for sure.
