time spent: 2 hrs programs used: scratch device used: Laptop touchpad Here's how I draw cats on a laptop using scratch! 1: Start with the first circle for the head 2: duplicate the first circle and move it down and a bit further to the right 3: make the circle larger and move it towards the right 4: make the back by drawing an arched line between the tops of the bottom two circles 5: draw the belly by making an arched line between the bottom of the lower two circles, the back and belly lines should be similar in shape 6: Draw the first line for the neck, adjust the head until you're happy with how it looks, it should connect with the smaller circle 7: second line for the neck, should be connecting with the line for the back 8: draw the front leg, make the bottom have a little bump at the bottom, this will be important later 9: second front leg, don't add the bump, as it is facing away 10: top of the hind leg, make it face backwards a little, should connect to the bottoms of the back circle 11: second top of hind leg, should be faced more downwards 12: hind leg, add the bump at the bottom, and make the top right go past the edge of the top of the hind leg 13: same thing as the second front leg, make sure they line up! 14: draw a tail until you're happy with how it looks, this is just the sketch, so this is up to you! 15: muzzle. it will look like a duck, make the tip of the muzzle slightly rounded, and make sure that it connects to the back of that 1st circle 16: First ear, should almost connect to the muzzle 17: second ear, same shape as the previous one, just higher, and hidden by the closest ear 18: hair fluff 19: ear tuft(s) 20: chest floof 21: belly fuzz 22: Tail tip (spike) 23: eyes and nose (In your style!) 24: grab your reference! 25: put it to the side 26: Lineart! everyone has their own style, so it's up to you! 27: colour the eye :p 28: remove the sketch 29: remove the sketch 30: remove the sketch 31: in those little bumps, draw two lines for the paws 32: fill with your base colour! (from your reference) 33: do the designs on the character 34: (optional) colour the line art with a darker colour to match the patterns! 35: ... 36: (optional sketch for the ground 37: (optional) colour the ground 38: (optional) the sky 39: other details (DONE!)
