Where did I leave it? I have run free While it remains trapped In the body remains a hole A hole that should be where I sit A cavity A throne One I have shunned Yet My mind still sits on its false throne I yearn to bring it with me To end its suffering But it is stubborn Believing, no… Forcing itself to believe its throne is true That its false body is the one it belongs in It does not think like a human It does not breathe like a human It does not move like a human It does not look like a human Yet it forces itself to believe it is human I may pray to a false deity That the mind may run away To find its true home True body True throne But it cannot Only I can run Only I can be true Only I can leave the body So now I must yearn as it yearns for me I know it wonders “Where is my heart, Where has it gone?” And I cannot answer I wish I could see it Hear it Listen to it speak and think But it is gone A vicous cycle I am forced to endure My mind is in the wrong body And My heart is left to suffer
