(outdated project lol) So, Megamind was a comedic superhero movie with a great plot and great characters. A really good stand-alone film. Until they made a sequel. Wait, what's that?. . .it scored 0% on rotten tomatoes?! Ok, that is quiet possibly the worst movie rating I have ever heard! Like, the Emoji movie won the award of Worst Movie of 2017, and that had a 7%. (for those who don't know rotten tomatoes is how good a movie is) At least movies like Morbius and Madame Web are so bad that it's actually hilarious, but this one. . .I watched the first 6 minutes on Youtube, and it is painful. When does a sequel need to spend a whole minute explaining the entire first movie? Just reminding us how good the first one was to highlight how much more terrible the second one is? The animation is crap, the writing is cringeworthy, the story pretty much just completely undermines Megamind's entire character and backstory from the first movie. He never had a crew, or a mentor, wasn't the entire point that he was the only villain and his only friend was Minion? I would be surprised if the people who wrote this movie had actually watched the first one. And Will Ferrel didn't even return as the voice of Megamind! Instead, he was replaced by some random dude who isn't even trying to sound like Will Ferrel! I haven't seen the full movie, but from the trailers, the reviews, and the first six minutes I did see, it is just terrible. Like Minion said in the first movie. "It's just plain bad." And apparently there was a post credit scene that is setting up for another sequel. . .oh hylia Wow you actually read all that, congrats! Yahaha!
