I FINALLY ADDED ART ono Also note that the series has a bit of magic _____________________________________________________ =CHAPTER 4=They Needed Your Help= Snaketail was plunging into the unexplored marshes of The Lost Territory or the Above knows where. The air was humid and branches tried to catch her but failed as she hears the screeches of her sister, Quail-leap. "I'll be alright, Tell Mottlestar and the Clan!" Snaketail yowled before crashing onto the marshlands below. (Swanfeather's POV) I woke up, my fur fluffed up against the cold. I had dreamt about my fictional warriors. Redstripe's patrol finally came back from yesterday, it seems like everyone of them bore wounds. My younger brother, Piper, was reported missing, either he's dead or had been taken in by twolegs. Although he held on to a kittypet name in honor of his father, my brother was always a great warrior Anyways, onto Redstripe's problem. The patrol took away her reputation as a well-organized deputy. A riot's protest still buzzed in my ears, I've never heard the Clan being so loud before. "My son may be dead because of you!" my mother cried, consoled by Mudpatch. "We'll send search patrols," the deputy retorted cooly before stalking off to her den. Mother kept on wailing while Mudpatch continued to comfort her with some other cats. --- The next day, the kits didn't come for a story. Mistkit, their friend, came to me and told me that the kits were too humiliated by their mother's incident that they were too scared to go out. So I decided I should visit them to continue the story. "Hello? Can I come in?" I meowed as I entered the deputy's den, which was below the leader's. "What?" a ragged voice answered. Redstripe looked like she was about explode."M-may I speak to the kits?" I asked carefully. "Go ahead," she muttered before shoving past me. "Swanf-feather?" Whitekit's voice came out of the dim light. "Momma has been angry lately. We're all s-scared," she whimpered. "Don't worry, I'm sure she'll get over the incident," I assured her. "Tell us the story of Snaketail!" Otterkit urged me on to tell my story. "Snaketail is gone. The Lost Territory has never been so.. Terrifying," Quail-leap's friend, Petalear whispered in the Gathering. Unlike other Gathering, the atmosphere was eerie and the leaders looked sickened. They reported that numerous warriors were reported missing and that the survivors were merely chased by a figure with eyes of the different colors and one even said with three eyes. Some returned and many did not. "We'll send search patrols to the Lost Territory and the twoleg place," Mottlestar announced after they arrived back at camp. "If anyone gets 'chased' yowl. It's better safe than sorry," he added. Quail-leap didn't really remember what happened next. She remembered being chased by the three eyes through the darkness while yowling for help. "Wait! We need help!" she heard. But she kept running and running... "When she got to the twoleg 'fence' she sent a silent prayer to The Above that she wouldn't die there. Looking at the archway of trees, she saw a black she-cat striding gracefully towards her. Her paws looked like it wasn't touching the ground at all, as she didn't leave any pawprints behind. "H-hey, I know I'm scaring you but, I need your help," she stuttered nervously. "I'm Kite," she bowed formally, Quail-leap didn't know why. She wasn't even a senior warrior! "Your voice.. You said you needed help!" the warrior blurted out. Kite suddenly froze, her different-colored eyes wide with fear. "That wasn't me," she said in a low tone. "Get down," she hissed pushing the warrior down behind a nearby bush. "But-" "It wasn't me. It's a spirit that mimicks creatures' voices," Kite muttered. Quail-leap peeked through the leaves. There was a scrawny cat with pale grey fur and tawny patches. It's hazel eyes looking towards the fence in hatred. Quail-leap tasted the air, it smelled like smoke and a sour taste attacked her mouth. The tom then looked straight into the bush they were hiding behind. It had not two eyes. But three. Staring straight into Kite's eyes, ignoring the warrior. "KiTe," his ragged voice sounded like a creature clawing a a flat boulder deliberately. A ring of ghostly spears of shadows surrounded him, the warrior was confused. How can he do that? "Elymas is truly a cat of power. Granted by the Cursed, he was sent from the Above to destroy the ten Chosen ones. Including.. me," the seventh she-cat explained. "KiTe I sEe tHat yOu hAvE mAdE a NeW fRiEnD," he rattled. Quail-leap watched from the bushes as a circle of flames surrounded Kite and the bushes. "Don't waste my time, Elymas. I have a cat to protect," she hissed. Elymas shot his first few spears, Kite easily dodged them, canceling some with balls of flames. The fire got bigger and Kite looked more nervous. "Stranger, go now. This is too dangerous for you," she yelled over the craclking ghost-fire. Without saying anything, Quail-leap ran.
