After realizing he had forgotten to shut off the computer system at the Mining Base, Rych had headed back to the Mining Base with only his vehicle. Hearing noise ahead he stepped out of it, and approached up the cave, quickly noticing the large group of armed soldiers ahead, and not recognizing them in the slightest. With the assumption they had seen him, he would put his hands up, to show he is not armed, hoping to avoid a hostile confrontation.
