PEBBLEKIT (three slots left) The youngest and smallest of the litter, Pebblekit is a dark warm-grey mackerel tabby with a "cap-and-saddle" pattern (google it). They have dark, vibrant green eyes. Like their siblings, Pebblekit has a paler-tipped tail, as well as paler toes. ༄ Whom I’m Applying For ༄ Pebblekit! Their goofy, awestruck expression caught my eyes immediately, as, as much as I love writing conflicted characters with dark backstories… It’s also so, so much fun to write about one who finds joy in every small part of the world around them. ༄ Gender / Pronouns ༄ Pebble personally will not entirely understand the concept of gender itself… After all, we all exist, evidently… But why must we box ourselves into more and more groups…? When we can just /be/? He will use He/Him pronouns simply as that was what he was raised with, but will identify internally as Agender- however, doesn’t have a term for it, nor does he care to find one. ༄ Sexuality ༄ Pebble is aro / ase, finding little point to such relationships, however he deeply values friendships and mentor-student relationships. He is also utterly clueless by the idea of flirting, and would almost certainly respond with a confused ‘… thanks?’. ༄ Personality ༄ (+) Curious, kind, accepting, confident, cooperative, easygoing, empathetic, perceptive, supportive (=) Adventurous, ambiverted, trusting, analytical, logical, innocent, obedient, spontaneous, compulsive, (-) Disorganized, forgetful, gullible, scatterbrained, subservient Pebble is the perfect friend- always there for those he loves, and stands up for all almost fiercely, unwilling to accept another’s defeat… That is, when it doesn’t relate to traditions. He is utterly set on following and upholding every small superstition the clan follows, and would almost be… /proud/ to be chosen by the tides. Alongside this, he follows orders unquestioningly, assuming that his superiors know what they’re doing. He is also an explorer at heart, taking great joy and comfort in the natural world- one of his favourite hobbies is to try to explore every inch of the island, and find places yet to be seen by those before him. ༄ Disabilities ༄ Pebble was born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (commonly referred to as ‘wobbly cats’), obvious at a young age by his off balanced gait, and trouble jumping and even locating things around him. This Neurological Disorder is caused by interrupted development in the brain, and leads to uncoordinated movements and / or ataxia- the latter also effecting balance and speech. This disorder is most common amongst a kitten borne by a queen infected by feline parvovirus. However, it doesn’t always effect the entire litter. Wobbly Cats likely: - Hold their legs far apart when standing still. - Wobble and sway while walking and running. - Step higher then most cats while moving. - Have head tremors, or uncontrolled nodding- which worsens when eating or focusing. - Lose their balance for no obvious reason. Pebble will learn to compensate for this later in life, finding special techniques for hunting and navigating, however he will never be able to climb, or reach high surfaces safely without aid. He will also find sand and grass much easier to navigate, in oppose to slick surfaces like clay and stone- which generally cause him to fall. (I had a wobbly barn cat! She was such a sweetheart! Unfortunately she went missing two years ago :’( ) ༄ Trivia ༄ - Pebble loves the smell of wild herbs, and can frequently be found rolling in them. - He loves collecting objects he finds strange, interesting, or pretty, and has piles of shiny stones, shells, driftwood, and more in a cave he found when young. - He loves to swim, as the water is significantly easier on his body then land- to the point that after strong rains, he can be found simply standing about in puddles - He doesn’t like the taste of land prey all that much, that is, excluding amphibians and reptiles. He especially loves crabs. ༄ Activity Level ༄ 9/10- however (as you know) I struggle with health issues, and may occasionally be hospitalized. ༄ General Plans ༄ I hope to surround Pebble with supporting, and caring friends- and hopefully have him persuade them to join him on his adventures. Due to his disability, I doubt he’d be able to become a warrior due to the danger he’d be in, but perhaps he could help entertain and care for kits, or aid the healer! Or even, perhaps become the clan’s unofficial therapist. >:D
