But that won't mean I won't play the V3. Main reason why I'm losing respect for the mod: Character Designs. The fact that they were capable of nearly replicating the style of each character is actually impressive. Like Vegeta for example. How the heck can they just casually make his design to be like **this** accurate to the og Dragon Ball series? Or Duolingo. That funny little bird has such simple body shapes yet they're so hard to replicate even with a reference. It's simple. They're tracing everything. If you look into every single GL livestream in Dusttoybonnie's youtube channel, nearly everything he draws is straight from the reference. I started to actually pay attention and see this in his latest livestream when he was revamping the Peashooter design, where he just put a ref of Peashooter and just casually drew over its ref and just edited it just for it to look different. Never did I think they'd actually do this. Another example was the Finn assets, where his entire design was practically a traced version of the original Finn stuff. EVERY. SINGLE. POSE, is literally something traced from Finn's assets from the Adventure Time series. And don't get me started on Gumball and Nicole sprites. Next problem: Quantity over QUALITY Why the heck are there like 199990909 weeks in V3?! What the freak?! Nobody's gonna play all of those! Jeez, no pibby mod has tried quantity over quality. BFCI, Broken Strings, Pibby Corrupted, and PA. I swear, when V3 releases, my storage is gonna overfill man, like chill. The reason why I think V2 was actually a good update was because they added a reasonable number of weeks for a V2 update. Not many so that it practically makes the number of gigabytes of the file about like 100, but like enough. Next problem: The songs are kinda mid. Ok, some songs like the Duolingo are pretty good, but Imma be honest, all the songs are super mid. Flat out mid. In fact, ever since V3 was announced and they started making songs, I became less hyped every song release. Also, what's with the deal with every single song being some cover of another song? I swear bro, the Missing Anomalies week was a truckload of covers from creepypasta songs. Last problem: Everybody's in a mod. Why? Why do you do this? I get it's a Pibby mod and all, but why? Why would you put every single existing character into a pibby mod?! If I had a penny for every character that I list that comes to the mod, I'd be a billionaire. Also, aren't their ocs literally reskins of existing characters? I swear, Roblox is even coming to the mod. What next? Fall Guys? Minecraft? Freakin Dark Souls?! Dude, CN, Nick, and Fox was enough. Seiya, DBZ, and DDLC was enough. Why must they put in Demon Slayer now?! Soon, I bet they're gonna be putting in Gundam or Neon Genesis Evangelion. Also, Kratos is coming. What the hell is going on?
I don't blame you if you like GL. I'm just telling you things that happen behind the scenes. But remember, if you trace things from a reference...You don't deserve to be called an artist. You don't deserve that crap. It's alright to use a reference. Nobody should blame you for that. But, you know. If you trace things, then...you don't deserve the respect. You want to know a funny thing? The PA devs even say that BFCI is actually better than GL.
