(Help I forgot the scratch mark-) !!TW: MENTIONS D3@TH AND SV!C!D3!!! (Note: This takes place in the way past, when being LGBTQ+ wasn't considered normal or okay.) Ceria was born Keresen, and had experienced violence ever since he was young. When he and his twin Cherri weren't much older than kits, their family was attacked, and their parents were k!lled. The two were then sent to an orphanage, where they lived miserably for a year before a ray of hope finally shone upon them. The two were adopted by a lovely couple, Azalea and Collis, who couldn't have kits. The odd yet loving family flourished, and Keresen and Cherri discovered their passion to make and run shows. Azalea and Collis were always supportive, even in their teen years when they decided to switch genders. As the two's bond was very close, they chose names similar to each other's. Keresen changed her name to Ceria, after Cherri, and Cherri changed his name to Kerezen. But no matter how much Azalea and Collis supported them, money was always a problem. Collis and Azalea made enough to support the family, but couldn't give the kits everything they wanted. When Ceria and Kerezen were young adults, they did get the money, but in a terrible way... An explosion had struck the factory that Azalea and Collis worked in, k!lling everyone inside the factory. Their life insurance company gave Kerezen and Ceria a large amount of money as compensation, but no money could bring the only parents they had back. The two would know what Azalea and Collis would say, even though they weren't there... "You can finally make your dreams come true... Do it, if not for yourselves, for us. Honor our memory by making yourselves happy. You two know we loved this family more than anything in the world, and we just want to see you happy..." So Kerezen and Ceria bought a plot of land for the circus tent. Although Kerezen was an amazing dancer and Ceria could soar through the air as a trapezist, you needed more than two people to run a show. So the twins put up flyers advertising their show and that they were looking for jobs. Soon, they had a pretty decently sized gang, consisting of Silk, an acrobat, Kevu, a juggler, multiple other performers, and of course, the twins themselves, the showmasters. Just before their first show, another cat showed up panting, saying that he wanted to join the show. "Well, who are you, and what do you do?" asked Kerezen. "Collin Ezra Pitt, fire breather, at your service! I prefer Ezra and he/him pronouns, by the way," the cat, supposedly named Ezra, replied. "Well, Kerezen Blossom Cherrywood, he/him pronouns. Nice to meet you!" Kerezen smiled cheerfully. "Kerezen! What a uni-" but Ezra was cut off as Ceria interrupted him. "Alright, I'm Ceria Cerise Cherrywood, she/her pronouns. I'm the showmaster along with Kerezen. It's nice to meet you and all, but our show's about to start, and even if we DID let you in without an interview, we don't have a place for you in this show!" Ceria said a bit too loudly. "Well, I'm a great improviser, and fire breathing would surely win the crowd!" Ezra said and winked. "Aw come on Cerri," Keresen said, "He's charming and we need more people in our crew. Besides, cats are ALWAYS amazed by fire breathing!" "But this is our one chance, we can't lose it!" Ceria said almost desperately. "It's okay, we could always try again. What if it's this cat's dream to perform, like how it was our dream to run a circus? We know how much having our dreams crushed hurts, right Cerri?..." "...Alright Ker, we can let him in..." ~~~ "WELCOME, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, TO THE FIRST EVER, CHERRY CIRCUS PERFORMANCE!" --- The performance went amazing, and afterward, Ceria was glad she agreed to let Ezra in. It was probably him that caught the eyes of the crowd. He wasn't only an extremely talented fire breather but also was born to perform. He and Keresen did an unplanned but silly little dance duet, he caught Kevu's juggling balls when he dropped them and made it look planned, he did backflips and cartwheels with Silk somehow in unison, and at one point, Ezra even soared on the trapeze with her. Ceria's heart had done a little flutter, but she thought it was only because she was worried he would bring them both to the ground. Now that she thought about it, Ezra looked extremely light, almost as if he was underfed. She gave him a worried look, but he just smiled back at her. His smile was so infectious, she just had to smile back. "That was a great show, huh?" Keresen said from behind Ceria. "Yeah...it was...amazing." ~~~ The Cherry Circus continued to do well, and the crew continued to perform and grow closer. Ceria and Ezra especially, although... Ceria didn't quite realize it until Keresen literally pointed it out to her. Ceria may or may not be just a LITTLE bit oblivious... Eventually, everything looked good for everyone, but somehow, Keresen and Ceria's gender was revealed, and so was Ceria's relationship with Ezra. Although they were [+]
[+] doing amazing performances that brought everyone joy for years, the public suddenly turned on the Cherry Circus, calling it terrible things like "immoral" and "sick". No matter what happened, the Cherry Circus kept performing, even though the crowd booed, hissed, called them names, and threw things at them. One day, however, late at night, a large crowd of cats attacked, and, although the Cherry Circus Crew fought bravely, they were outnumbered, and to make matters worse, someone set fire to the tent. Ceria brought everyone outside to safety, only to realize that Keresen wasn't out yet. She rushed in to save Keresen and managed to, but her burns and wounds were so bad, that she went unconscious. When she woke up after four days, she found the entire Cherry Crew, surrounding her bed, worried. Keresen and Ezra looked as if they had been crying. "H..how long have I been out?" Ceria muttered weakly. "Four days..." Silk whispered back. --- Ceria was discharged from the hospital a week later, and the crew was planning on rebuilding, but for the final time in her life, tragedy struck Ceria. This time, the d3@th was her own. Although she had been getting better and things were looking good, her wounds had been infected, and her body slowly succumbed to the infection. This marked the fall of the Cherry Circus. They never rebuilt after that, feeling the loss of Ceria terribly. The group split up, and Keresen felt so distressed that he k!ll3d himself within a year. Ceria stayed on the grounds of the ruined circus, however, and is still wandering there now, unrestful, hoping to help a new young cat fulfill a dream she never was able to... ~~~ I'm sorry this is so bad, I was really rushed T^T Design by @-CinnamonPumpkin-/@Kxnko Art by @cs5033246/@Izumi_stars Drawn on ibisPaintX
