An excuse of a project to retrospect about stability meters in Scratch. I am surprised that stability meters are still a thing despite being very controversial in the AY community, particularly back in the old 2.0 days. From my point of view, as an old AY community lurker, I think stability meters were frowned upon because they caused people to act dramatically whenever someone had a stability meter, and it was set too low. Whenever someone's stability meter is low, sometimes you will encounter some of the """edgiest"""/"""mysterious""" error page/scene you'll ever see, and people criticise them for being too "edgy". At that time, petty dramas happened over a fad users plaster on their "About Me" projects. Now we have petty dramas over metagaming, being OP whilst lazily using reused attacks and/or single glide blocks in fight projects. Those happened in the old days, too, but they are not as frequent and focused as now. I guess the fighting community barely changed. It's quite hilarious to reflect. The old AY community's traditions, culture, and humour are things I wish I could go back to. Unfortunately, I cannot say it feels the same for the new AY community. Only the fighting community progresses from its roots. However, despite doing a couple of fight projects to contribute to the fight community, I don't have time to do these projects, especially the steep learning curve (people made camera scripts; that's insane!!). I may create a fight project, but I am slowly growing my YT and in my final year in university, so it is not my priority. Some proof that I am capable of fighting. Though, if I am capable of animating, then I can animate fight scenes: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/437537295/ https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/436462754/ (this would have been better if one of the sound effects were not unnecessarily huge to the point I couldn't save it, and I thought my project was corrupted so I had to start over the final blow) https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/766565473/
