Chapter 2 (Note:We will be switching POV's every once in a while.) Dovepaw's POV ════════════════ ⋆★⋆ ════════════════ Dovepaw was on his way to camp from a hunting patrol with his brother, Marshpaw. "I know who you like." Marshpaw smirked. Dovepaw felt his chest tightened. *Marshpaw could threaten me and Amberpaw!* "You obviously like Leafpaw. And she likes you too, I think." Dovepaw kept himself from breathing a sigh of relief. As they got into camp, Ravenstar came up to Dovepaw. "Dovepaw, come to my den, quick!" Ravenstar gestured Dovepaw to come into the den. Dovepaw looked around the leaders den. He saw Amberpaw sitting still. Herbs on the floor. "This is dock leaves, its good for-" she looked up at Dovepaw. "We have the third! Alright." She turned to Ravenstar. "StarClan chose me, Dovepaw, and Leafpaw to go to the mountains, and find the Honeyfern. It's a rare plant that can cure any sickness." Dovepaw eyes widen. He would be able to go on a journey with Amberpaw! Of all cats! But...Leafpaw. Ravenstar looked at Dovepaw. "I was supposed to give you your warrior name soon...but...if you complete your assessment, when you get back, you can have your warrior name. Along with your brother." Dovepaw smiled. Amberpaw got up. "Very well, I will prepare some herbs for the journey." Dovepaw could feel his pelt grow hot as Amberpaw's tail swished over his belly fur. *I still love her don't I?* Leafpaw's POV ════════════════ ⋆★⋆ ════════════════ *Dovepaw!* Leafpaw's heart began to sped up when he walked across the clearing. She remembered what Marshpaw had told her that Dovepaw loved her. Leafpaw watched as Dovepaw's gray pelt became fluffier than ever. "IT'S PONDCLAN! THERE ATTACKING US!" Leafpaw watched as Dovepaw ran up to his brother, Marshpaw. They headed through the camp entrance. Eagerly, Leafpaw ran to catch up with Dovepaw. They headed through the bushes. "BOO!" said a voice. It was Bugpaw. She tackled Dovepaw. *DOVEPAW!* thought Leafpaw. She jumped up onto Bugpaw and dug her claws into her pelt. Bugpaw scowled as Dovepaw was on the floor. Bugpaw hissed and jumped up onto Leafpaw. Marshpaw looked at them. Not knowing what to do. Leafpaw scrambled upwards and kicked her hindpaws into Bugpaw's pelt. Marshpaw yoweld as another tom, one that was huge that looked like...Dovepaw... leaping forward, Leafpaw scratched Bugpaw and did a strong blow on her ear. Leafpaw attacked the cat that looked like Dovepaw, as she turned around, she saw Bugpaw about to give Dovepaw a killing bit. "NO!" Leafpaw shouted. But the big tom pinned Leafpaw down. Meanwhile, Marshpaw moaned. The pain was clearly hurting him. Leafpaw was panicking, when she heard a familiar voice. She recognized her littermate Mothpaw, and Amberpaw. Amberpaw slammed into the tom's side, as Mothpaw fought Bugpaw. "Amberpaw! Thank you! I was so scared." Leafpaw licked Amberpaw's ear. Amberpaw smiled. "Thanks, Leafpaw. Run back to camp and fetch Tabbytail, Robinpaw." Leafpaw raced back and got the cats that Amberpaw requested. (I'm too lazy to write after the battle, healing, blah blah blah. So, i'm skipping.) Butterflywhisker's POV ════════════════ ⋆★⋆ ════════════════ As the battle raged on, Butterflywhisker stalked up to Tabbytail, who was fighting alongside her kit, Mudpaw. Butterflywhisker was gonna get her revenge, no matter how many cats she killed. "Come on Mudpaw, use your hind legs!" yelled Tabbytail. Butterflywhisker stalked up behind the warrior, her pelt was covered with blood. Butterflywhisker leaped onto Tabbytail, as she yoweld. Butterflywhisker dug her claws into her pelt. Mudpaw ran up to protect his mother as he slammed into Butterflywhisker. But Butterflywhisker was too fast as she gave Tabbytail a killing bite. "MAMA!" yowled Mudpaw. Butterflywhisker looked at the kit. "Would you like to see your mama again?" she asked while grooming her paw that was covered in blood. "Mama? Oh yes please," Mudpaw gasped as Butterflywhisker swiftly landed a blow on Mudpaw's neck. Killing him. She smirked. *Revenge is mine now* Amberpaw's POV ════════════════ ⋆★⋆ ════════════════ Amberpaw watched as Butterflywhisker dragged Tabbytail and Mudpaw by the scruff. She and Bluepaw gasped as they saw the sight of their dead mother."Mama!" Bluepaw gasped. She and Amberpaw cried and collapsed onto their mothers dead body. "How did she die?" Ravenstar meowed at Butterflywhisker. Butterflywhisker shook her head as she said "Graybird."
