Instructions

Seemed like you were looking for some animation tips! Here are four things that I've done here that i think improve the fluidity (but not necessarily the impact; I was not entirely sure how to make it "more impactful") :P Anyways, this is what i did/suggest: 1. Making the sword bounce back rather than glide into place makes the sword movement feel faster and its also a bit more realistic--- if you were a swinging a sword, you would probably overswing, at least a little bit! This is called "follow through!" I also added one extra frame to ease out this follow through just a touch :) 2. Curving the slash so that it looks like you're swinging the sword in more of a arc motion 3. moving the sword in costume6 so that it doesn't stay static between costume5 and 6-- although i know its there to make it seem like its getting from the last pose to the other, it's still good to have some amount of movement even at the tail end so that it actually feels like its moving just a touch more! :) 4. moving the robe thing so that it moves in the wind of the sword. Im honestly not sure whether this was an improvement, but i think if somebody fixed it so that the animation actually looked more natural (I think i did this part poorly) One other thing I would suggest: Ive noticed that at the beginning the knife switches directions super suddenly between costume8 and costume 4, I think it might look good if it either started in the up position or if there was some sort of transition between the two? I wasn't sure the best way to go about it so I just figured I'd address it here and leave it up to you :D Side note but i love this character design, the art looks great and those little feet are awesome XD
