Meowibushi F-2A "Cat Zero" The Meowibushi F-2 is a multirole fighter derived from the F-16, and manufactured by Meowibushi Heavy Industries and Scratcheed Martin for the Naidun Air Self-Defense Force, with a 60/40 split in manufacturing between Naidun and the Umbra. The first 76 aircraft entered service by 2008, with a total of 98 airframes produced. The first active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar on a combat aircraft was the N/APG-1 introduced on the Meowibushi F-2 in 1995. Recently, Naidun has started to demilitarise, making the F-2 one of the main air-defense fighters.
