Very few of the object population of Teliem Callistia live outside of Object Factions. An Object Faction is a group formed by many different object based on the object they are. This means many residents of the same general object classification can live in officially recognized groups together. Object Faction are managed by the group's Faction Manager, responsible for officially recognizing the group and maintaining its official recognition. They work with the leader of the group to sort out documents regarding the group and its business. The leader of an Object Faction is usually the one who puts in the request to a Faction Manager. (An example would be Electronics Inc., one of the largest Object Factions in Teliem Callistia comprised of residents who are electronic devices and appliances.)
The vectors are of members of the S.O.I. (a.k.a Society of Inflatables), that Jared formed with the help of Faction Manager "Bonsai" Stella, in order to protect people just like him from Deviant attacks. He claims that the group's purpose is to finally triumph and eliminate the Deviants, although deep down, Jared knows he formed the group to get people to help him with finding Julie... if she's even still alive. (Editor Note: This is not the only Object Faction that will be explored, as there are others I wanted to touch on as well. For now, the S.O.I. is being used to develop the concept of Object Factions and what life is like for objects in Teliem Callistia, as well as the concept of the Deviants.
