Click flag, and expect a moment of darkness... Alright guys, here is the (incomplete) Flashlight PMV that I told ya'll that I was working on. Why isn't it done yet? Well... I was working on it and then felt like "is anyone going to watch this or care?". So, if you all want to see me finish it, comment and let me know. Honestly, I haven't figured out the entire story behind this yet... I is a terrible human being. ;n; I have been consumed by a completely different story idea that I kinda like more, the "Entropy" story idea (look in my projects, you'll see it with a pic of the three main characters). But I'll do my best to give you a good story anyway... here we go! THE BEGINNING Firefly was the guardian of the forest. He patrolled it every night, just as he promised. He wasn't sure what he was looking for, or why he had to. But he promised her, and he didn't need any reason more then that. Nights became weeks, turned into months, turned into years, always the same. He got out of his cave, walked the same path, ate some moon fruit, talked to the moon, and went back to his cave to sleep through the day. Sometimes there was a bit of action, where he avoided the dangers that lurked in the woods, but other then that, life was simple. He had nearly forgotten why he was out there. Then, one day, he found it. A small girl, white as the moon, sitting alone looking tired and afraid. She reminded him of his promise he made, to a friend who looked very much like this little girl, except older and wiser. <><><> "Firefly," she had said, years before he found the reason for his patrolling of the forest, "you have been a good and loyal friend to me. You have made promises that you have never broken, and have given me a bit of light and hope during these dark times... I appreciate you, more then you know." He smiled, standing tall and his glowing spots glowing ever brighter. She smiled back at him, the most radiant thing he had ever seen. Her name was Luna, she was the queen of the land. She was his queen. As he stood there, staring into her radiant face, he couldn't help but wondered if she loved him, though she couldn't say if she did, for reasons that he understood. Likewise, he couldn't tell her how he felt, because he couldn't speak or write. But he figured he didn't need to, she knew him well enough. Her smile faltered, and she looked sad for a moment as she turned back to her bedroom window. They were the only two people in her room. "Things aren't going well, my friend..." she whispered, "the world crumbles through my fingertips, and I can do nothing about it." He shook his head, wanting to tell her that it wasn't true. She was doing fine. Everything would be fine. Though it would have been a lie. "You know how this all ends." she said, smiling sadly at him, and he chose to stare at his feet instead, "That's why I have one promise that I need you to make for me. I need you to patrol the woods of the far north, only at night all night long, and only under the light of the moon. Just keep searching, and the day you find a child like me, protect her at all costs... just like you have done for me. Love her, and keep her safe... okay?" He stared down at his feet. She was asking him to leave her, something he had never done since coming here. If she was going to die, which he understood that she very well might, he wanted to die first protecting her. Was there a better way to loose you life? He couldn't imagine so. "Firefly?" she pressed gently, "Do you promise to do this for me, old friend?" He bit down on his lip, and looked up at her, his ears pointed sadly downward. Please, he thought to himself, don't make me do this. Let me stay with you. She smiled, "don't look at me like that... just nod your head, and let us both get on with our tasks. We can go our separate ways, today, remembering each other just like this... besides, this is really important to me... that you go and fulfill this task. Just promise me you'll do it, please." With a sigh, he nodded his head. And that was the last he saw his queen. <><><> This girl did look a lot like her. It was remarkable. And as he saw her sitting there, alone and afraid, he allowed himself to realize that he was never going to see Luna again. And that was okay. Because he made a promise, a promise he was about to keep... TO BE CONTINUED???? depends... on you guys. Song: Flashlight by Jessie J (I t'ink) ALL ART BY ME! <3 (can totally tell, right?
