"No Gregory, after dinner" she giggled at the 5-year-old boy. "P-please?" The tiny boy had tears in his dark amber eyes. "Aww, are you going to cry?" His father walked into the room, speaking, "If you don't stop crying for your candy, you won't be eating brat" Mason stated. "Mason, he's a baby" Sarah, his long-time wife, told her husband. "No, he's not. He's 5 years old. It's time for him to grow up" Gregory looked around. He knew his parents were about to fight. "Daddy?" Gregory's big amber eyes looked into his small brown eyes. "What?" he asked harshly. "Please don't fight again. I just wanna...be happy" His mom looked at him. "see honey, he doesn't want us to fight" Sarah looked at the man she married. She could have married someone else, but she didn't. "I don't wanna fight either." He spoke to Gregory. "You're dumb mother thinks you're a baby" He looked at Sarah. "Mommy, am I a baby?" The little boy quietly asked Sarah. "Yes, you are 5, not 10." She answered his question. "No, you aren't, you're a big boy aren't you?" Mason half yelled. "I...am a big boy" Gregory stood up and grinned widely. "I'm not a baby Mommy" Sarah looked at him and opened her arms. "Okay big boy, can you stand a Mommy hug?" She smiled when the boy came up and hugged her. She kissed him on his soft brown hair. The bell rang. "There's the food. Eat it all, Gregory, or you won't be getting your candy." He walked off. "Mommy, what are we eating?" He looked up at her. "Chicken" *during dinner* "Honey". Sarah's voice spoke in a whisper. "What?" Mason looked at Gregory. "I...want a." she gulped "-a divorce". She looked at him. "WHAT?!" He yelled, making Gregory whine. "SHUT UP BRAT!!! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?!" He grabbed her hair. "I HAVE BEEN A GOOD HUSBAND, DAD, AND WORKER!!!". She looked at Gregory to see him sobbing. 'be strong.' she thought. "Don't act like I'm dumb. I know you're cheating!!!" She yelled back. He let go of her hair. "How did you know?" He asked. "Your work bag had someone else's outfit in it. Girl outfit". He smacked her. "MOMMY". Gregory yelled, worried for his Mom. "SHUT UP". He grabbed Gregory by the hair and threw him on the ground. "STOP, HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!!" Sarah rushed by her child's side. He started crying. He grabbed her arm and started dragging her. She screamed in pain. Gregory got up and backed away under a desk. Mason grabbed her head and threw her on the kitchen sink, making her bleed. Gregory was still crying. Mason snatched Sarah's face. "You love me". He let go of her now sore face. "Brat, come here," he said, crouching down where he and Gregory were eye to eye. "No..." Sarah passed out. Gregory went to his dad. Mason took his son and hugged him. "I'm sorry, sometimes Daddy gets mad." Gregory looked up at him. "It's okay." Gregory cuddled into the older man's chest. He started petting his tiny son's small head. *1 year before security breach* The missing poster of her son was in Sarah's hands. He's been missing for a whole year now. She looked at the sleeping baby girl on the couch. Gregory's sister. Her name is Maddie. Gregory ran away knowing his mom was having his sister. She was born on April 6th, 2035. Gregory would be 9 now. She missed his birthday, February 28th. She was 41 now. She looked at the missing paper again, it was wet with her tears. Mason walked in from work. "Hello.". He stated blandly. Ever since Gregory ran away he was less harsh. He did truly love Gregory, he got closer to Gregory before he ran away. He'd stay up at night silently crying. He might have been...rude. But he missed his only son. He sat down by Maddie. Maddie woke up at that. Instead of crying, she giggled. "Daddy!" She sat up, rubbing her eyes. "hi...Maddie" he sighed. "Daddy?" She looked at him with big brown eyes. "Yes, princess?" She stared at him. "C...Can have chicky nuggies?" She asked, a big toothy grin on her tiny face. He laughed "yes, pretty princess." He got up to go get his phone. Sarah turned on the news. "Hello everyone I'm Jessie stars and this is my co-host Sage Bell. Today we have big news!!!" Sarah looked away, bored. Mason came back in. "Okay, food is gonna be here in 30 minutes" He smiled. He was really trying to help his anger issues to be a better dad for Maddie. He even goes to therapy for it, and to Sarah, his anger mangment did improve.
*1 month before sb* She stood up. She was tired but she had to answer the door. She looked through the peep hole. A police officer. She opened the door. "Hello sir, how may I help?" She smiled the smallest bit. "We were told your son was spotted in Hurrican Utah at the Mega Pizza Plex at 3:42 am." Sarah had gasped. "Is he okay? How did he look?" The police women looked at her. "Well, he was going in with another kid named Tony Becker. They are the same age. They were also going to school together. Tony Becker now has been missing for 6 hours his mother said." Sarah shivered. How did Gregory get all the way to another part of Utah and why where the place known for missing kids? Sarah nodded, "do you wanna come in" the police woman smiled. "Yes, please."
