Meet Fern; a young cat with a froggy friend! Fern (He/Him) was born in a bog, an unusual place for felines like him. No, his parents did not choose that place. In fact, Fern has no parents! He was born from the lilly pads laying on the bog, floating around as if bored. Fern, back then, was very light, so the lilly pads only flinched slightly at his weight. Fern had a thin green layer of fur over a dark brown body, almost the same colour as the bog! His bright blue eyes stared and wandered around the mystic forest on one side of the bog, and the feilds on the other. He observed the other creatures- or at least the one that stayed instead of hopping away at the sudden presence of a feline in THEIR bog. There was one frog who stayed, though, maybe out of kindness or pure curiosity. Who knew? Fern observed the creature's bulging eyes, smooth green body, and strange posture. Fern wondered why this species was also staring at him. Wasn't he the same? Fern saw the green on his body, and assumed that the shiny creature was freshly out of the shower because his fur was not shiny at all, but a dull green. Fern grew up with this being, beleiving her to being one of his own species. He slept, ate, and talked with this creature, who called herself 'A Frog'. Fern thought the name "A Frog" was quite strange, but he went with it. One morning, Fern woke up to notice that A Frog was on his head. She had brought up her lilly pad she usually slept on up in between his... what did she call them again, those bulging out things on your head? Oh, right! Eyes! Shown here is that moment where Fern is curious, but also amused. That moment where his actual eyes, their blue corneas wide, stared up... And saw not what he saw on A Frog's head, but nothing... but when he looked down, he noticed that, drooping down with curiosity, were ears. The moment when he began to question whether he really was the same as A Frog. The one realisation in his life that changed his world...
